Responsible Gaming

This page sets out how to keep gambling under control and where the controls that actually enforce a limit are found. It also states plainly what this site can and cannot do, so nothing here is mistaken for a safety feature.

Decide the terms before you start playing

Set the amount you are willing to lose before you begin, and treat it as already spent the moment you commit to it. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of judging risk in the middle of play, when a run of losses makes chasing them feel logical rather than costly. Never use borrowed money for gambling: a loss covered by credit or by someone else's money does not stay contained to the session, it becomes a debt that outlasts the entertainment. If a session stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling like a way to recover a loss, stop and step away; a short break interrupts the pattern before it hardens into a habit. Talk to someone else early, before the situation feels urgent — a partner, a friend, or one of the organisations below — because outside perspective catches what a person absorbed in their own play usually misses.

Use the help organisations linked from every page

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gambling Therapy and GamCare. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. They carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them. Beyond being independent sources of help, no further description of what they do is given here.

Know what this site cannot do

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion are things a reader arranges inside an account at an operator's own site. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check its status or enforce it. Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it; any age check happens at the destination after leaving here. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page, but repeating a restriction is not the same as checking it. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on risky behaviour. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point its own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.
